Evening all

I have made this card for a friend who just loves to shop-I'd seen this lovely stamp on Alicia's website and thought it would be perfect so in keeping with my new resolution to try some new images I had to buy it!

Wee Stamps Kitty version 2

Morning all
Firstly I must say a big hello and welcome to my two new followers-it's so lovely to have you join me.
Well, another cold start here today, I am struggling with the cold now and need it to warm up soon-it's trying hard to snow out there again!!
I spent a rather horrible day yesterday decorating, now I don't like decorating much at all but it really needed doing so it was a case of gritting the teeth and just getting on with it. Thankfully it all got done in one day as it was just painting so all I need to do now is get everything back in there today.
I managed to finish off this card for my Mother in Law, which is again using the gorgeous Wee Stamps Kitty freebie which Sylvia Zet so kindly gave away. When I made my card for my Mum the other day I had both of these ideas kicking around and couldn't decide which to make so opted to make both and send one to each Mum!
I used the same freebie paper pack from Quick Cards, coloured the image with my promarkers and added a paper flower, a Marianne die cut flourish, a touch of glitter and some adhesive and liquid pearls, hope you like it.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge 195 - Animals
Crafty Catz challenge - Dies & Punches
Cards in Envy challenge - Dots and Stripes
Joanna Sheen challenge - Layer it up
Jelly Park challenge - Get in Shape
Lisabdesigns challenge - Love
The Cutie Pie challenge 38 -  Pretty Pastels

I hope you all have a lovely week-I'm off now to put my bedroom back together!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and until next time.

Emma in torn jeans

Afternoon all
Firstly a huge hello to my new follower and welcome to my blog-it's lovely to have you join me.
I can't believe it's trying to snow again, just what is it with our weather in the UK? I can't wait till my lovely holiday-we are off to Florida and I am SO excited. Looking through my holiday clothes though its hard to believe I will be wearing vest tops in less than 5 weeks!!
My copy of Quick Cards came today and they published my letter with a picture of my little Valentine treat bags, so exciting!! They did say I was from Australia though-I wish lol, a huge difference to snowy Maidstone!!
Well after the other days interruptions I tried again to get some craft time in before our weekend of decorating and this time I actually managed a whole two hours totally interruption-free, woo hoo!!!
I decided yesterday that it was about time I got myself some new images to work with, sometimes I feel that I have used some of my images just once too often so I had a little look through some of the digi stores and came across this gorgeous image at Pink Gem designs called Emma in Torn Jeans-I fell in love with her immediately so had to buy her! She was just a treat to colour and last night I ended up colouring up three different versions -which kind of defeats the object of trying to use different images I guess!
For my card today I used my First Edition Spring Drop papers and added some stripey paper from an old Daisy and Dandelion pack. I die cut the image into an oval and made a larger oval shape from Kraft with my fancy edged scissors. I cut out a banner to go across the card and added a sentiment, some card candy and a flower-hope you like her.

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Cards in Envy challenge - Dots and Stripes
Fab N Funky challenge 159 - Flower power
A Gem of a Challenge - Dies and punches
Jelly Park challenges - Get in Shape

Well I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, thanks so much for popping in today.
Until next time.
Aloha

Wee stamps kitty for Mothers Day

Good afternoon all
boy, it's turned cold again, I don't know, a couple of sunny days and then it's been trying (and failing luckily!!) to snow again-just when is spring going to appear???
I don't know where this weeks half term has gone, I can't believe it is Thursday already. I decided to have a bit of a craft afternoon yesterday and got all my stash out on the dining room table and would you believe it I had one interruption after another, phone calls from the kids, text messages I had to reply to, deliveries to the door, nuisance selling phone calls and I just couldn't concentrate at all-just typical!!
I did manage to finish this card for my lovely Mum for Mothers Day though and have another three cards at various stages of being finished-I may well try again this afternoon (and might just take the phone off the hook this time!!)
For my card I used this sweet little freebie Kitty image from Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet, coloured with my promarkers. I used a freebie paper pack from Quick Cards (no first edition papers today lol!!) and layered it with some lace and fancy punched strip using my Hobbycraft edging punch. I cut some fancy corners with an Xcut corner punch and added some paper flowers, glitter glue, and some adhesive pearls from the 99p store (which they don't seem to have any more, I do keep looking!!)  -hope you like it!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Bearly Mine challenge 74 - Ribbon lace or twine
Di's Digi Design challenge - Lace and Pearls
Fab N Funky challenge 159 - Flower Power

Snoozing Stan blue

Evening all,
First of all a big hello and warm welcome to my two new followers-so glad to have you join me!
I hope your week is being good to you so far. It's the lovely school holidays and I'm trying to have a mix of boring old chores and some craft time. It's just typical though that I decided to have the afternoon to myself and get out my crafting bits and when I sat there I just stared at it all and hadn't a clue what to do!!! This card ended up about three different layouts and two different colour schemes before I settled on this one and even then I'm not entirely happy-don't know if I just wasn't in the mood. I did manage to nearly finish my mum's Mothers day card though and am kind of pleased with that at least-will try to get that finished on Thursday!!
So, this card is for my Uncle and I used an image I've had for ages from the Digistamp Boutique-don't you find there are so few images for older men?? I spent ages the other day trying to find some on some of the digi websites but they all seemed geared to youngsters!!
I decided to follow a sketch I'd seen on the Friday Sketch blog the other day -I printed him out a little larger than I usually do and coloured him with my promarkers. I used an ancient paper pad from Lakeland which doesn't even sell craft bits any more unfortunately and corrugated the strips at the side. I printed out a newspaper image and stamped out a circle sentiment and added some print card candy.

I would like to enter him into the following challenges:

Friday Sketch challenge 37 - Sketch by Christine
Tuesday Throwdown challenge 135 - Monochrome
Here Come the Boys challenge 46 - Lots of Layers
Shopping our Stash challenge 90 - Oldest DP's
My Time to Craft challenge 209 - Men only

Well I hope you enjoy the rest of the week and that the sun keeps shining wherever you are. Thanks so much for popping in and until next time.
Aloha

Finding a crocus

Evening all
I hope your weekend has been a good one and that the sun shone where you were!
I have had a lovely day, spent the day at Mum and Dads and had one of Mums gorgeous roast dinners-I always look forward to them but as usual the day went far too quickly though. I was very touched as Dad said he checks out my blog every week-will have to make sure I don't post his birthday cards here in future!!!
I'm so looking forward to this week, it's half term holidays so I've got a few afternoons full of crafting planned to play with some of my new bits and pieces!!
My card today uses my new First Edition paper pack Up Up and Away, full of gorgeous blue shades which are my favourite colours. The stamp is a Marianne stamp called Finding a Crocus and I've coloured it with my promarkers. I added some pearls, a greeting, and some punched flowers and butterflies to finish and I've decided it's going to be my sisters Easter card -hope you like it.

I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge -Dies and Punches
I Love Promarkers challenge 155 - One for the Girls

Inspired butterfly CAS card

Evening all
I hope your week is good so far. I don't know about you but I am getting fed up now of this cold weather, I just want it to be spring and see some lovely sunshine!!
I thought I'd quickly pop on and post a card I made at the weekend which was inspired by one of the cards I received for my birthday-it was a square card with nine punched and raised out butterflies in different colours.  I realised I have a lovely butterfly punch which a friend bought me that I have hardly ever used so went and dug it out and this is the result.
I used one of my new First Edition packs-Up Up and Away (see, I told you you would be seeing lots of them didn't I????) and added some little teardrop shaped gems.

Every now and again I try to have a go at making a CAS card, which I do love, but I'm never really happy with the outcome-this one I wasn't too unhappy with. I took it into work today as I always keep a little stock of cards there and one of the ladies asked if she could buy it -so I felt I hadn't done a bad job!!
I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

Divas by Design challenge 69 - Winged Things
Nutcrafters challenge 36 - Love and Friendship
Creative Inspirations challenge 200 - Sent with Love
Lisabdesigns challenge - Love
CAS on Sunday challenge 1 -Be my Valentine

Right, I'm off to make a coffee and try to warm myself up!! Thank you for popping in, have a fab rest of the week and until next time.
Aloha

Sweet Owl

Afternoon all from a very wet and dismal Kent!
First of all I'd like to say a big 'hello' to my two new followers and welcome to my blog.
It's been such a horrible wet day, I was supposed to go into town today but to be honest one look at the weather had me doing the cleaning instead!!
I have had a lovely couple of days, it was my birthday on Friday and when I had a quick peek at the blogs (as I always do over my breakfast!) I saw I had been picked as the winner at the Card Crafters Circle so that really was a good start to my day!! I had lots of gorgeous cards and pressies and even though I had to go to work all the lovely ladies made sure I had a good day.
I spent some of my birthday money on 5 new packs of First Edition papers from the Glitter Pot on a very good deal which arrived yesterday so I spent a good few hours having a play with them -you will be seeing a lot of them over the next few weeks I think!!
The first card I made is this one with the Sweet Owl pack-I loved the little owl on one of the sheets so decided to use him on my card. You can't really tell from the photo but I cut him out twice and decoupaged him so he stands out a little. I used some more of the gorgeous sheets from the same pack and layered one with a fancy edge white card I had in my stash. I added a chipboard flower, some card candy, a greeting and some ribbon I recently bought and thought he would make a cute Valentines card- here he is.

I would like to enter him into the following challenges:
Allsorts challenge 193 - Valentines
Creative Inspirations challenge 200- Sent with Love
Songbird challenge13 - Hopelessly Devoted to You
Totally Papercrafts challenge 153 - Valentines/Love
Lisabdesigns challenge - Love
The squirrel and the fox challenge 37 - Love
Fab n Funky challenges 157 - Valentines/Hearts
Nutcrafters challenge 36 - Love & Friendship

Phew, so many challenges for Valentines!!
I hope you all have a smashing week, fingers crossed that we all stay clear of any more snow.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.
Aloha

My Heart Pieces-Ankhi

Hello all,
I Hope this post finds you all well and enjoying your week so far-I'm pleased to say the weeks seem to be flying by at the moment which is good as I'm counting the weeks till Easter when we're off on holiday with my sister and her family-I just can't wait!!
Work and home are both just crazy at the minute but I'm trying hard to make time for my crafting-it's not always easy but it's half term very soon and I'm planning some mega crafting days!!
I have managed though to finish colouring up this lovely image which is another that I won from a blog challenge and it's from My Heart Pieces.
I followed the lovely sketch over at Sketch Saturday and used my new Dovecraft paper pack and matching flowers, colouring the image with my promarkers-I hope you like it.

Spring Flowers

Evening all
I hope your weekend has been a good one. I have had a very lazy one to be honest and managed to squeeze in about three hours of craft time yesterday which is unheard of for me.
I got up early today to do my jobs and had planned to continue where I left off yesterday but haven't felt too brilliant, had a headache all day and felt quite lethargic-had a little pop out to the shops for a mooch about and then came home and had a snooze instead!!
This is one of the cards I made yesterday using a freebie image from a blog I found -I printed it out to colour and have just gone through my images to find what it was called and where I got it from and it seems to have disappeared from my memory stick!!!!! If anyone knows what it is I'd be glad to know as I do like to keep a track so I can credit it in my postings.
I coloured her with my promarkers, the yellow paper is from my new Dovecraft pack and the spotty was a freebie. I added some pearls and a flower with sentiment to finish-this will be Mum and Dads Easter card so I hope Dad doesn't peek at my blog before then lol!!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Allsorts challenge 192 - Let's get cute
ABC challenge - G Going Dotty
Nutcrafters challenge 35 - Cute and girly
Cardcrafters Circle challenge 60- Springtime
The Corrosive challenge - Hearts and flowers
Party Time Tuesdays challenge 105 - Anything Goes

Have a lovely week and I hope to see you midweek with my next card (which just needs a bit of colouring!!)
Thanks so much for stopping by and until next time.
