Islander Flower Girl -take 2

Hello all,
as promised here is the second card I made for the challenge which is currently still running over at the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends. A little bit more of a traditional birthday card, the image is from Lemon Shortbread coloured with Promarkers. The papers are from a magazine and the sentiment is computer generated. I added a Marianne swirl die cut and a filigree heart die cut. A couple of paper flowers coloured with promarkers and some little green gems finished it off:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Lil Patch of Crafty Friends challenge 32

Hello all I hope you are all well. Todays post is to let you all know that a new challenge has begun today over at the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.
Our challenge runs for two weeks and as always it has an Anything Goes theme so that gives you loads of scope to come on over and join us, we'd love to see you there.
Huge thanks go to our sponsors who for this challenge are:

Prize ~ 7 Images

&

Prize ~ 3 Images

For my card I got to choose this lovely image from Lemon Shortbread called Islander Flower Girl which can be found here.
I ended up making two cards for this challenge myself. The first card is a traditional type birthday card but when I'd made it I had another idea which I just had to make so this one is actually the second card I made. (I'll show you the first one in my next post!!)
I found this fab background on a free clipart website and thought it matched the image perfectly so I layered the image digitally and then coloured her in with promarkers to match the background.
I also found some images of shells which I fussy cut and layered onto the image using some raised pads. I punched some little flowers to add too and the sentiment is computer generated which I then layered using some Nellie Snellen oval dies. I finished off with some glitter to her dress and a couple of little pearls:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
(this is a scheduled post so I'll link up later)

Abbie with Cake

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well.
So, the Easter break is nearly over and as usual I feel like it's flown by but it's been a lovely rest and I have spent lots of time at my craft desk.
I've had the day to myself today too so apart from the hour cleaning the oven (yeuck!!) I have made lots of time for me-card making and catching up with some TV programmes too.
My card today is one I made with a gorgeous freebie from Connie Fong.
I coloured her up with my Promarkers and layered her with some papers which came free with my magazine. I added some die cut balloons, a heart and used my hobbycraft 'handmade with love' die but only showed the 'with love' part! The sentiment is from Netty's cards and I found a cute little button in my box which I thought fitted it perfectly:

I had some fab news yesterday too-I emailed this to my magazine to show them how I'd used their fee papers and got a reply back from them saying they'd like to share it on their letter page in June so I was really thrilled about that!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafting for all Seasons #123-dies/punches
Fussy and Fancy #161-pink and green
Simply Papercraft#27-anything goes
Crafty Calendar-anything goes April

Balloons and ice cream

A very good afternoon to all my friends and followers, I hope you are all having a lovely Easter weekend.
We popped down to the seaside this morning for a little wander and a spot of lunch. Managed a quick walk on the beach afterwards before it started to rain too.
I saw a challenge on City Crafter to use clouds and thought this fab little image I recently won from Star Stampz would be ideal to use. The paper is by Lozzy of A Bit More Time to Craft. I die cut a couple of balloons and punched some corners with a Hobbycraft punch. The sentiments are a mix of Hobbycraft clear stamps and magazine freebies. I added a banner to the bottom and a couple of gems to finish off:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Happy Easter

Hello today and a very Happy Easter to all.
This is just a really quick post to wish you all a wonderful and peaceful weekend.
I started mine with a really lazy morning and actually got to spend some time making and putting together a couple of cards. I really enjoyed myself and am hoping I can get back to my normal craft speed over the holidays.
I made this card using some stickers I found at the front of a First Edition paper pack, I'd completely forgotten they were there and thought they were really cute and just right for a quick card I needed to make.
The yellow check paper is also from a First Edition pack and the sentiment was from a magazine freebie.

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Crafting with Friends #17 -anything goes
Creative Fingers #105 -anything goes
Daring Cardmakers -spring
Fussy and Fancy #160-pastel colours
QKR stampede #184-easter cards

Wishing you all a wonderful time over the holidays and I hope to see you all again soon.
Thanks so much for visiting today.
Until next time.

Trying a little less fussy

Hello friends and followers, hope you are all well and that you had a good weekend.
I had a lovely Mothers Day, went shopping with my daughter and had some lunch out which was very nice-hope you all had a lovely day however you spent yours.
I've had a little bit of a crafting wobble this week-someone made a comment on my cards and said I should make some that were more simple and with more general images-not the 'little girls' I normally use. I spent about three hours yesterday trying to do just that but I don't know, I struggled with it and felt a bit lost for a while. I ended up throwing three away, getting myself in a right old mood and then putting all my stuff away.
In the end I came up with this one -no flowers and no die cuts and although it is girly she isn't little!! I felt a little bit lost and my mojo definitely went AWOL but then figured I should just make what makes me happy and accept that it won't always be what other people may choose!
My image is from Pink Gem and is a pre-coloured version-I really love the colours on this one so chose to use this rather than colour one up myself and after spoiling three cards I felt I needed something a bit quicker.
My papers are from Lozzy at A Bit More Time to Craft and are from the Fun set. The only thing added is a sentiment and a couple of gems:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Creative Craft Cottage #59-sentimental
Craft your Passion # 302 -anything goes
Crafting from the Heart #102-anything goes
Our Crafty Corner #7-anything goes
Crafting with Dragonflies #52 -girly
Inky Impressions -lets hear it for the girl
In the Pink #89 -for a special lady
Cardz 4 galz #17-women

well that's all from me for today, hopefully I'll be back soon and my mojo will have returned to it's normal self.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you wish to leave. Have a good week and until next time.
Aloha
