Owl-iversary card

Good morning to all my friends and followers today.
First of all a very warm welcome to my new followers, hope you enjoy my blog and I'm so glad to have you with me.
Hope you are all well and managing to find some sunshine again after the terrible weather at the weekend. Guess who decided to book a last minute break during the worst weather we have had in over 6 weeks?? Yup, that's right, only me!! Booked a long weekend in Great Yarmouth as that's where we used to take the kids on holidays-despite the weather we had a lovely time, went out for a couple of lovely meals and spent ages in the amusements (I used to think we went in there for the children but obviously not!) and even managed to win a gorgeous cuddly Happy dwarf from the grabber machines!
I haven't managed to spend a whole lot of time crafting in the last few days but did manage to make this card for a family member before I went away. I wanted to use an owl image and found this one as a clipart image and thought it was just perfect. I cut the image out with a circle cutter (am not so successful with that as I can never manage to cut all the way round in one go) and layered it with a punched circle and some First Edition papers from the Sweet Owl pack. I used some of my new ribbon and die cut a flourish and a couple of feathery shapes to add too. Glossy accents were added to the eyes and I added some black gems. The little 'post' type shapes at the bottom were off cuts from my Martha Stewart edger punch which were just laying on my desk and I added them because they reminded me of fence posts for some reason and I thought they tied in well !!??? A couple of punched heart shapes finished it all off and here it is:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Glitter n Sparkle # 97 - wedding/love
The Squirrel and the Fox # 75 - anything goes
Robyns Fetish # 224 - anything goes
Crafting from the Heart - anything goes
Papertake Weekly - Spots & dots
Sister Act # 69- anything goes

Well, I am off to do some jobs now and hopefully fit in a little craft time later. Thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Take care and have a wonderful week-until next time.
Aloha
