Pink Tea time Tilda

Afternoon to you all,
I hope that your week has gone well and that you have a wonderful weekend planned.
I am seriously getting those 'back to work' blues that I get every year, the one big downside to working in a school is September!!
I have spent a fair few hours trying to put together a new house card for my daughter who is buying her first house. You know those cards where you have a good picture in your head, then when you come to put it together it just doesn't seem to look quite how you thought? Well, that's one of those cards!! I decided to leave it be for now-if all else fails there's always the Card Factory lol!!
My card today was one that I made the other day when I had a really good afternoon and everything went to plan.
I used my new Papermania Wild Rose capsule paper pack which I love so much I've just ordered the Paris blue version!
I wanted to try and keep this one a little simpler than my normal cards but it was so hard not to add a few flowers here, some more layers there etc etc. I coloured her with my Promarkers, die cut the image and added a sentiment and some card candy and here she is:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Whoopsi Daisy -girly
Treasured Times # 23- anything goes
The Pink Elephant # 265 - anything goes

Well that's all from me for now, my posts will be fewer now I am back to work but I will still pop on as much as I can. Please forgive me if I don't comment on all of your posts, I will still be looking at all of your lovely cards it just means I have less time to comment. Roll on the October half term!!
Thank you so much for popping by today, do take care and until next time.

Fizzy Snoozing

Evening all -firstly I would like to say a very warm hello and welcome to my two new followers-it's so good to have you with me and  hope you enjoy my blog.
Boy what a horrible Bank Holiday it's been hasn't it-and you just know that tomorrow will be lovely and sunny when everyone goes back to work don't you, so annoying!!
I hope you have managed to have a lovely day despite the rain.
I have had a very quiet day doing not very much but it's at least been restful!
My card today was for hubbys birthday and I thought the image reminded me of him lol!! It's made using a pre coloured Fizzy Moon image but I wanted to make the sofa the same colour as our own so it got coloured over with my Promarker pen!
I made an easel card and used some paper from my stash which I thought matched the image perfectly. I made a little bookmark by stamping some Kraft card with a backing stamp and adding some thread through an eyelet and printed out a book page to use as a backing too. The chipboard shape was one from a magazine set and I added some card candi to finish-hope you like it!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Love to Create challenge # 130 - mad about plaid

Have a lovely week and until next time.

My 'lucky dip'

Hello all,
I hope that you are all well and enjoying the weekend.
I have been very busy the last few days pottering about in my craft shed-I'm making the most of the last days of my summer holidays which once again are coming to an end - I have so loved having so much craft time and just wish my numbers would come up on that lottery so I could do it always. I get so miserable at this time as I dread going back to work, but am trying to console myself with the thought that the next holiday isn't so far away though!!
I decided I would do a bit of a 'lucky dip' with all of my products and use whatever I pulled out of my stash. First was the image, so without looking I put my hand into my spares tin and pulled out this cutie. The papers I selected were Papermania Bellisima. For the embellishments my lucky dip produced the butterfly punch and flower edger. The only things I chose deliberately were the flower punch and Martha Stewart corner punch as I felt it needed a little something else. The image was coloured as always with my Promarkers and I added a little glossy accents to the flower on the image and some blue pearls.
So, here she is:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Sister Act challenge # 71 -anything goes

Relax!

Hello all, I hope this post finds you all doing well tonight.
I have been having lots of fun today-I got all my jobs done good and early and then treated myself to the whole afternoon in my craft shed and refused to feel guilty at all!!
The first thing I did was to finish off this card-I started it the other day but even though I was following a sketch somehow things just didn't seem to go so well. I figured the best thing was to walk away for a bit. When I went back to it today it seemed to go much better, but can you spot the deliberate mistake??  I did make a bit of a blunder and was very cross with myself-as I can't sew for buttons I thought I'd try some faux stitches. It went ok on the smaller section paper and then whoops, I went and did the stitches on the main panel round the backing card and not the paper!!!  Do you think anyone will notice???

I am following a sketch over at Sketch Saturday and the image is from Pink Gem called Bathtime Emma. She's coloured with my Promarkers, as are the flowers at the bottom and the buttons are from my stash- I think they were from a Dovecraft pack.
The papers were bought loose from my local craft shop which has sadly closed down now.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Sketch Saturday challenge - week 323
A Gem of a Challenge # 126 - Stitching real or faux
Crafty Girls challenge  # 25- anything goes

Well, I'm off now to get my nice cosy PJs on as it feels a little cold tonight.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, wishing you all a lovely weekend - to all my UK friends let's keep our fingers crossed for lots of lovely sunshine. Until next time.

Tilda with cherries

A big hello to all of my friends and followers today and I hope you had a lovely weekend-why do they go so quickly though?
We decided to pop to Folkestone for a little wander yesterday and we knew it would be cloudy but after a couple of hours the heavens just opened -luckily we were sitting in having some fish and chips at the time but it was such a shame as the harbour festival was on and it kind of put an end to it all! The sunshine makes such a difference doesn't it!
I have spent some time colouring this so sweet image, I just love all of the Tilda images, there's something so cute about them I think.
I have coloured her with my Promarkers and layered her with some papers from a Raspberry Road pack. She is cut and layered with an Xcut die.
I coloured some of my white Papermania flowers and some white card candi with the Promarkers to match the papers and added a little ladybird to finish off and here she is:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Scribble and Scrap challenge #25 - anything goes

Butterfly box

A very good morning to all of my crafty friends and followers. I hope you are having a lovely start to your weekend. Here in Maidstone it feels slightly autumnal today, a little chill in the air-am hoping the summer isn't quite over yet.
For some reason I was awake at 6.00 this morning so am feeling very sleepy now- I may well just have to have a little nap later!
My project today is a box card, I've been seeing these a lot lately and my son was given one for his birthday so I thought it was about time I had a little go. Well, all I can say is I don't think there will be too many of these as I did find it quite fiddly and very time consuming. I can't say I was altogether happy with it but the family said it looks ok so what do I know!!
I covered the box panels in papers from a Wild Rose freebie pack from a magazine and the butterflies were a pack from the pound shop ( I love having a wander round there as just lately they seem to have some good bits and pieces!)
I added some die cut swirls in with the butterflies as it looked a bit empty and added some pearls to finish. The flowers were plain white so I coloured them with my promarkers in shades to match. I think I need to find somewhere else in the house to do my photographs as just lately the colours don't seem to be coming out quite true, in real life it looks a lot pinker! Here it is:

Owl-iversary card

Good morning to all my friends and followers today.
First of all a very warm welcome to my new followers, hope you enjoy my blog and I'm so glad to have you with me.
Hope you are all well and managing to find some sunshine again after the terrible weather at the weekend. Guess who decided to book a last minute break during the worst weather we have had in over 6 weeks?? Yup, that's right, only me!! Booked a long weekend in Great Yarmouth as that's where we used to take the kids on holidays-despite the weather we had a lovely time, went out for a couple of lovely meals and spent ages in the amusements (I used to think we went in there for the children but obviously not!) and even managed to win a gorgeous cuddly Happy dwarf from the grabber machines!
I haven't managed to spend a whole lot of time crafting in the last few days but did manage to make this card for a family member before I went away. I wanted to use an owl image and found this one as a clipart image and thought it was just perfect. I cut the image out with a circle cutter (am not so successful with that as I can never manage to cut all the way round in one go) and layered it with a punched circle and some First Edition papers from the Sweet Owl pack. I used some of my new ribbon and die cut a flourish and a couple of feathery shapes to add too. Glossy accents were added to the eyes and I added some black gems. The little 'post' type shapes at the bottom were off cuts from my Martha Stewart edger punch which were just laying on my desk and I added them because they reminded me of fence posts for some reason and I thought they tied in well !!??? A couple of punched heart shapes finished it all off and here it is:

Wee Florist Pink

Hello to all my lovely followers and I hope your week is treating you well so far.
I have been having a little play with this cute little image from Wee Stamps which was the first ever digi that I bought. I decided to try and use things I haven't used in a long time so to carry that through I used this paper pad from Forever Friends which I have had for ages and is probably long ago discontinued, but I did love it at the time! I used my Martha Stewart edging punch to shape the bottom of the layered section under the image.
I added a doily and some paper flowers which I also coloured with my promarkers to match her clothes and finished off with a little butterfly topper and some pearls -I hope you like her.

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Canary Love in pink and green

A very warm hello to all my lovely friends today.
I have been having a little play today with this gorgeous Saturated Canary image. I chose the papers from a Paper Cellar pack called Langley Place which I think I got from The Range a little while ago. It's one of those packs that once I got it out I thought 'it's so lovely why don't I use it more??' You may well see a few new cards appear with these papers in the near future!
As usual she is coloured with my Promarkers and the edging punch is Martha Stewart. The flowers have been coloured with Promarkers also to match the image and I added some buttons to the middles. The hearts were cut using a Dovecraft heart punch and a little punch I have had forever. Ribbon was from a little shop in town-I need to have a little sort out of my ribbons as they are looking very sad lately. Pearl heart and liquid pearls were added to finish off.
So here she is, I hope you like her:

Somebunny loves you

Hello to all, hope you're all well. If I'm honest I am suffering at the minute with the dreadful hayfever, it's driving me so mad I'm sitting with a DIY facemask on in the hope it will help!! I'm afraid I won't be too sad when the weather changes.
Well onto my card now -I recently bought a new t shirt and when I was ironing it I thought 'that would make good backing paper'!! I had a good look through my stash but couldn't find anything similar so thought I'd just have to get resourceful and make my own!
I dug out an old Papermania capsule collection with grey tones and coloured the white flowery bits in the peach and purple colours and then found a lovely fresh peachy paper in my First Edition Spring Drop pack. I used a freebie stamp from my magazine (Somebunny) which I haven't used before and coloured her in with my Promarkers in colours to match the papers. I followed a sketch over at Cheerful Sketches but rotated it to fit my image.
I used my swirly die cut again to add a little white into the card and punched some little flowers to match-I hope you like it!

I would like the enter this into the following challenges:

Sister act challenge # 68- anything goes
Bearly mine  August challenge - anything goes
