Daisy Delight

Hello to all my friends and followers today. I hope you are all having a lovely week.
It's the first week of my Easter holidays and this week I am puppy sitting for my daughter's dog while they have a lovely week away (I know, I must be mad!!!) They will come back all rested and refreshed and I'll be exhausted!! She really is lovely but such hard work-I think I am too old for puppys. Up at 5.00 this morning, it's going to be a long day!!!
I managed to get up to my craft table yesterday as I knew it would be difficult for the rest of the week. My new magazine had arrived with some really fab papers as a cover gift and I so wanted to make a card with them, they are SO pretty! They are Nitwit papers and are in lovely spring colours so I decided to use the newest image I bought recently from Lacy Sunshine-Daisy Delight-and coloured her up with Promarkers. I cut her out with an X cut die and made a faux nestie. I punched some butterflies and hearts and added some flowers, glitter and gems. I also decoupaged the flower at the front but it doesn't show too well here:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Ooh La La - spring /easter
Lacy Sunshine # 55-butterfly kisses & spring wishes
Digi Designs -spring is here
Corrosive challenges #221-hop into spring
Little Miss Muffett #108 -spring colours
Crafters Cafe #109-spring flowers
Melonheadz Friends-spring
I love Promarkers -spring/easter
Crafting from the Heart # 53-anything goes

Well that's about it for today, thank you so much for popping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave. Have a good day and until next time.
Aloha

Showcasing Easter Rose-Kith & Kin

Pre-Release showcase from

A good evening to all my friends and followers. I hope this finds you all well.
Just recently the DT at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends were asked if they would like to take part in an exciting pre-release showcase of a new image from Kith & Kin called Easter Rose-well straight away I knew I wanted to take part-how cute is she with her basket of eggs and cute bunny friend?
I  knew right away which papers I wanted to use-Spring Drop by First Edition as I thought the lovely soft colours were just perfect.
I cut the image with an oval X cut die, coloured her with promarkers and added some paper flowers, a die cut butterfly and some gems. I added some glossy accents to the eggs in her basket-not sure it shows very well??  I also used my Martha Stewart lattice edger punch as I thought it looked a little like a fence behind her and made a couple of banners for the corner. I cut out a couple of larger eggs which were in the paper pack and raised them a bit from the card too:

I'd like to take this opportunity to say a huge thanks to Kith & Kin for this fun opportunity and for allowing us to show their fab image to you all.

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:

Little Miss Muffett - spring colours
Creative Knockouts #82-spring
Cute Card Thursday #366-easter
If you give a crafter a cookie #15-photo inspiration
I Love Promarkers #262-spring/easter
The Pink Elephant-# 291 photo inspiration
Sweet Stampin -easter
Polkadoodles - use a die
The Stamping Boutique -easter
Jo's Scrap Shack #81-easter

Well, that's all from me for now. Thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Have a fab week and until next time.

Easter Bunny

Evening all
well, a post on a Monday, a bit unusual for me I know but I just wanted to share a quick Easter card I made to send to the MiL. Needed a really quick card to get in the post as somehow we managed to send her a cheque for Mothers Day that wasn't signed!! I don't know, I'm sure it wasn't my fault!!
Anyway, I promised to send a card with a replacement cheque so thought I'd make it a bit of an Easter theme while I was at it.
I used a pre-coloured image from Pink Gem and layered it with some papers from my 'oddments' bag. All I added was a simple flower as I am trying to make a few more CAS cards-doesn't come easy I can tell you as I sit there desperate to add some extra 'bits' on-I almost have to sit on my hands to stop myself!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

The Pink Elephant #TPE 291-spring colours
Crafty Cardmakers #135 -spring has sprung
Crafty Gals Corner # 11 -hippity hop

Well that's all from me for now, I'm off to do some more commenting then some colouring.
Thank you so much for popping in today and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Have a lovely evening and until next time.

Mr Hoppy

Hello friends and followers, I hope you are all having a lovely weekend.
It was my daughters birthday yesterday so we all went to hers for the evening which was very nice and today I have the day all to myself so there will be plenty of crafting!
Only one more week at school and then two whole weeks off-I just can't wait!
My card today was made with a fab Just Inklined digi I won over at Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge-I used to have a space hopper so this caught my eye straight away-I thought it was something fun and different to use for the men's cards I have to make soon.
I coloured him with my promarkers and used some spotty paper from a pack I got from the Glitter Pot and also some checked paper from a  DCWV pack from The Range. I punched some stars for the corners and added card candi to the middles and added a computer generated sentiment.

I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Passion for Promarkers# 288 - check it out
I Love Promarkers #261 -favourite song (Jump, Pointer Sisters)
Polkadoodles # 11-birthdays

Butterfly silhouette

Good evening to all my friends and followers today, I hope everyone is having a good week so far!
I've made a bit of a boo boo this week-I'd made a second card for my daughters birthday and took it over to her without taking a photo-d'oh, I've never done that before!!! Luckily it's not gone far and she's promised to take a photo of it at the weekend when she opens it so I can share it here, must be my age!!!!
So, as I can't share that one I'll share this one I made with a free stamp set that came with Quick Cards magazine. The stamps have sat in my room and I've been meaning to give them a go-I just love all the silhouette cards I see on the blogs!
I used some paper from a large pack I bought at the Works-a real bargain at only £3 too!!
I used all the stamps from the set plus another freebie for the middle butterfly and sentiment. I'm trying to use more physical stamps as I'm such a 'digi' girl lately and it's a shame that my stamps don't get used so much.
I only added some little pearls as I wanted it quite CAS-with hindsight I'm wondering if it would've been better to glitter the butterfly maybe? I wanted this for my box at work and I must say the CAS style seem more popular with people, I don't know why!!

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Creatalicious #73-anything goes
Inspiration Destination #25 - anything goes
Fan-tastic Tuesday #77 - square cards
Love to Scrap #50 -anything goes
Craft your Passion # 253-anything goes
Papertake Weekly -Happy Anything
Pennys paper crafty challenge  #219-favourite embellishment (pearls)
The Sisters of Craft -anything goes
Creative Ladybirds -anything goes

Well thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Enjoy the rest of your week and until next time.

The Butterfly Challenge Guest DT

A good afternoon to all my friends and followers today, I hope this post finds you all well and enjoying your week. I have some exciting news to share with you!
My post today is to let you know that a new challenge is beginning today over at The Butterfly Challenge and I am delighted to say that I was asked to do a guest DT spot for this challenge as I was a winner in a past challenge.
When Mrs A emailed to ask me I was completely over the moon and felt very honoured and couldn't wait to start making my card as I just love butterflies and they very often find their way onto my cards.
Mrs A asked me to pick a letter of the alphabet so I chose 'P' (as there's lots of things I use on my cards beginning with that letter!!) and Mrs A told me that it was going to stand for 'Patterned Paper', so..........
for this challenge the theme is going to be Butterfly/s and Patterned Paper

My card is made with some gorgeous papers from Michele R designs called Butterflies and Hummingbirds and I've layered it with Kraft card.
The image is from a Penny Black set I won in a past challenge and I backed it with a fancy Xcut die shape. I embossed a white panel with a butterfly embossing folder I got with a magazine and used a sentiment and tag from the elements pack. I punched some small butterflies using an old punch I got at hobbycraft and have used lots of glitter and pearls and a few kraft paper flowers:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Cute Card Thursday #363 -dies/punches
Inspiration Destination #v24-anything goes
Robyns Fetish # 254-pearls/gems
Crafty Catz #269-song title -(Butterfly-Celine Dion)
Scribble and Scrap # 39 -anything goes
Crafting from the Heart #50 -anything goes
Sister Act #96 -anything goes
Creative Inspirations # 304-anything goes
Country View Crafts -anything goes

Mrs A has made a gorgeous inspiration card to get you all inspired so why not put the kettle on and get busy with all your pretty papers (go on-I know you all have them!!!) -and of course add some gorgeous butterflies- then pop on over to enter at The Butterfly Challenge

I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Mrs A for asking me to join her this month, I've really enjoyed taking part.

Well that's all from me for now, thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave.

Have a lovely week and until next time.

Kara's Mermaid ?

A very good afternoon to all my friends, followers and visitors today. I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and enjoying this fab spring weather.
I have had a lovely weekend, visited my Mum and Dad yesterday and got taken out for a lovely lunch at a beautiful gardens near to them and then today my daughter treated me to a gorgeous cream tea which was part birthday treat, part Mothers Day-just lovely and I am so full now I don't think I will eat for a week!!
I spent this morning finishing off this card which I made for my daughter Kara who just loves mermaids and is (much to my despair!!) planning on a tattoo of one. This is one of two cards I'll be making for her as I had two ideas and couldn't make up my mind which one to go for so thought I'd make the both and decide after!! The other one involves a photo of her new puppy Evie so if that turns out OK I'll share it later!
I used an image I won in the Art by MiRan birthday celebrations and just knew Kara would love it! She's coloured with my Promarkers and I layered her with papers from First Edition.  I decided to try distressing the paper which I'm not really used to and I must say I don't know what was more distressed, me or the paper-I just couldn't seem to get it to look like others I've seen on the blogs-maybe it just takes a bit of practice!!
I used a die cut swirl to match the bath pattern and I die cut a corner too. I added some card candi and also added glitter to her tail. I added glossy accents to the bubbles to make them shine. A large flower coloured to match finished it all off:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Patties Creations # 108 - green
Simply Create Too # 80- green
4 Crafty Chicks - green
Cute Card Thursday -dies/punches
Fitztown # 69- green
I love Promarkers # 259- distressing
Fresh Brewed -green, white +colour of choice
Creative Inspirations # 303-something old (die)
Crafty Gals -movie madness (little mermaid)

Well that's all from me for now, thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Have a wonderful week, until next time.

Party Time Tuesdays New Challenge

Good afternoon to all my friends, followers and visitors today.
This post is to let you know that a new 'Anything Goes' challenge has begun today over at Party Time Tuesdays. You can enter anything you would like, there's no restrictions- so what better excuse to get crafty!
Our lovely sponsor for this month is Spectrum Noir
I made my card using a cute digi image from Art by Mi Ran called Love in a Cup which I thought would be perfect for a Mothers Day card. I coloured her with my Promarkers and used some Tea Party papers by Dovecraft. I cut away half of the front of the card as I thought it made me think of one of those split doors they sometimes use in cafes and bars!
I added some paper flowers, glitter and a sentiment from Netty's cards and some glossy accents to the hearts on the image but I don't think it shows up too well. I punched some little hearts and some pearls finished it all off.
Why not grab yourself a coffee and pop on over to Party Time Tuesdays to to take a look at the wonderful cards made by the rest of the DT this month, there's some truly beautiful work!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Digi Galore - it's all about her (mothers day)
Just Inspirational-mother's day
That Craft Place -mother's day

Digi Choosday #9 -mum's the word

Well that's all from me for today, thank you so much for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave.

Pink truffle bear

Hello to all my friends and followers today.
It's a little unusual for me to be posting on a Monday night but I wanted to share this card today as I made it to follow a challenge at Papertake Weekly and then realised that it closes tomorrow so I needed to blog it today or I would miss the date-d'oh!!!
A friend at work asked me to make her a card to give to her daughter from her grandaughter (who's only a year old) so I thought of this little bear straight away. I coloured him with Promarkers and followed the sketch at Papertake. I used papers from Lili of the Valley and added some little punched butterflies with a touch of liquid pearls. I didn't want to add too much that could fall off and be a hazard to a baby just in case she got hold of it!

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Papertake Weekly -take your pick -sketch 98
I Love Promarkers# 258 - animals
ABC -E (exceptionally cute)
Glitter n Sparkle #126 - anything goes
Whoopsi Daisy - add a sentiment
Card Mania #66- spring
Dream Valley # 101- Mothers Day

Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today and for any comments you may wish to leave. I hope you have a lovely week-one day down, only four to go!!.
Until next time.

Reading Beauty

Hello to all my friends and followers today and a special 'Hello and welcome' to my new follower Jacee-thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, I'm so pleased you joined me!
Why do these weekends go so quickly? I definitely think we need a three day weekend, there's just too much to fit into only two!
We had a lovely meal and film night with my son and his girlfriend yesterday and a fab walk by the sea today with daughter, boyfriend and puppy. I also had a lovely few hours to myself yesterday and spent it pottering around in my room, making a couple of cards and having a general tidy up-I am such a messy crafter and now my stash is all in the house I really need to make more of an effort to tidy up after myself!
I realised while looking through some of my files that this card has totally slipped through the net-I made her a while ago and I can remember not being sure if I liked this one-(I think it was the colours, which aren't my usual style) and that's how she missed being added.
I used a Saturated Canary image - reading is another of my loves and it reminded me of myself when I was young, nothing came between me and my books!!
She's coloured with Promarkers and cut with a scalloped circle die and has a faux nestie behind. I wanted to keep this one quite simple so that the image is the main attention so didn't add very much else apart from a few pearls, a little glitter and some little punched butterflies. I stamped the sentiment straight onto the backing paper-can't think I've tried that before but I quite liked how it came out. The paper is from a magazine freebie pad:

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

Crafty Catz -dies and punches
Southern Girls - girly
Passion for Promarkers-alphabet (p for pearls, paper, promarkers and punch)
Tuesday Throwdown # 233-anything goes
Buckwells Crafts -March challenge flowers
Robyns Fetish # 253-use a digi
Inspiration Destination # 22 -anything goes
Crafting from the Heart # 48 -anything goes

Well that's all from me for now, I must get on with the boring old ironing!
Thank you so much for stopping by and for any comments you may wish to leave. Enjoy your week and until next time.
Aloha
