Pink Owl

A very good afternoon to all, hope you are all well and have had a lovely weekend. Hoping too that any of my friends in the USA are keeping safe if you are caught in the snowstorms. I love snow to bits but it must be hard to cope with it that heavy.
I am enjoying a nice coffee and a rest after spending a day walking round Lakeside shopping centre and Ikea-am just exhausted but did get some good bargains.
I'm sharing a card today that I made with a really gorgeous freebie set given away by Michele R on her facebook page. The papers are so pretty and the images just so cute.
I fussy cut and decoupaged the owl with one layer and added lots of glitter to her heart and some paper flowers coloured with promarkers-the leaves were offcuts from a snowflake I'd punched! The sentiment is one from Netty's cards punched with my circle punch and backed with a Nellie Snellen circle die. I added a die cut heart and a couple of gems to finish off:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

A Gem of a Challenge #161-lots of pink

Oh Boy a New Baby

Hello all, hope you are all well and having  a lovely week.
It's been absolutely freezing here in Kent but I must admit I do quite like the cold and it's nice to finally feel that we are in winter-I much prefer this to the horrible rain.
I've been slowly getting back into my crafting the last couple of weeks but am still struggling slightly with my mojo and things don't seem to be quite clicking at the minute. I'm trying not to worry about it and am just plodding along as and when I feel like spending time in my room.
I did make this last weekend as we thought our niece was going into hospital on Monday to be induced but have since found out it's next week!-still, at least it's done and ready to go now. I just hope her scan's right and it is a little boy!!
I used a gorgeous image I've had for a while from Pink Gem. The fab spotty blue paper is from a set called Micro dots by Lozzy at A Bit More Time to Craft and the stripey one was in my stash.
I die cut the image with a Nellie Snellen circle die and backed it with an X cut scalloped circle.
I die cut some cute little buttons with a die I bought at Hobbycraft and added a couple of die cut balloons. The white strip was punched with my new Xcut border punch and the sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion clear stamp set:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Dream Valley #123-new beginnings
Cardz 4 Guyz #103-blue

For my card I got to choose a fab image from Bugaboo stamps so I decided upon this pretty image called Thank You flower which can be found here.
I coloured the image with Promarkers and used some papers from Lili of the Valley. I die cut a couple of circles to layer behind the image and punched a little butterfly. The flowers in the corners are the die cut centres from my poinsettia die and the little gems are a recent find in the pound shop:

Wee Jillian

Good afternoon friends and followers, hope your week is being good to you so far.
I feel exhausted this week. Don't think being back at work agrees with me!!
I am trying to get back in the swing of things and have been having a look through some of my images and found this cutie which was a freebie from Wee Stamps (which I love). I thought it was about time I used her so coloured her up with my Promarkers and layered her with some of my papers from Nitwit and some Kraft card. I added an Xcut die corner and used my new die from Hobbycraft which was only 50p in the sale just before Christmas-it actually says 'Handmade with love' but I figured if I only showed the 'with love' part it could do for all sorts of occasions.
I added some paper flowers and some new gems from the pound shop-I love the look of these and wish I'd bought a couple more packs. Bet they won't have them next time I go in there. I die cut a little heart shape to finish off the bottom:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Amy's 21!

Welcome today to all my blog friends and followers, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and that if you live in the UK you are managing to escape our crazy weather at the minute.
I had a brilliant day yesterday, first we had a day out shopping in Canterbury and our daughter came along too so for once it was all four of us which was just lovely. Then in the evening she came over with her boyfriend and little dog Evie for dinner and my son brought his girlfriend too. We had a fab evening and sat round the table for ages playing a board game. Simple things but really good times.
My card today was made for my son's girlfriend who turned 21 just recently. With all the Christmas preparations I had decided that I would have to buy a card for her. I looked around the card shops and had real trouble finding something I liked. I found one card and was horrified to discover it was nearly £3 and thought  'I could make that myself' so put it back, went home and did just that!
I found this image on the internet and all I added was some sequins and a little glitter and glossy accents to keep it very CAS.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:

QKR stampede #173-CAS
Creative Fingers -anything goes
Jo's Scrapshack#120 -anything goes
Simply Create Too #100 -party time
As you like it -anything goes
Craft Rocket #6 -happy anything

Well thank you so much for stopping by today and for any comments you may wish to leave. Have a lovely week and until next time.

Luke's Yoda

Hello today friends and followers, hope your week is going well so far. It's the first week back to school after the Christmas holidays so it's never an easy few days. I spend the whole time thinking 'this time last week'!!
I'm trying to ease myself back into my crafting as it's really taken a back seat the last couple of weeks. My mojo has taken a little walk too so that's making things more difficult.
I thought I'd share another of my 'lost' cards today, these somehow slipped through the net last year and I am adding them to my blog bit by bit.
This one I made for my nephew who is in fact called Luke (yes, my brother was such a HUGE Star Wars fan back in the day and always said if he had a little boy he would call him Luke-just lucky his wife agreed!!) Luke is now following in Daddy's footsteps and just loves all things Star Wars and Lego.
I decided to mix the two and came up with this card. I found the image and the lego background on the internet and I dug around in the old box of lego I keep for when Luke visits and found these little bits to stick on too.  I added some punched stars and a computer generated sentiment and Luke's name was added with some foam letters coloured with Promarkers. The papers were from a set by The Works:

I'd like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Moving along with the Times #11-spots & dots

Craft your Passion #293 -anything goes

Thank you so much for stopping by today to visit and for any comments you may wish to leave.
Until next time.

A Bit More Time to Craft new challenge begins

Hello and a Happy New Year to all of my friends and followers today.
I have had a lovely time over the Christmas and I hope you did too, I've had a real break from all the household jobs and also a little break from crafting too so that I could concentrate on some family time but am looking forward to getting back to my craft desk again now.
This card and post today is to let you all know that a brand new challenge has begun today at A Bit More Time to Craft. Our challenges are always Anything Goes so why not get out all that brand new craft stash you got for Christmas and come and join us. The winner gets to choose some gorgeous papers designed by Lozzy too!
For my card I decided to use a lovely freebie stamp which came with my magazine just before Christmas and I thought it would really look good with some papers from Lozzy's For You set.
I coloured her with Promarkers and die cut a heart shape with a Tonic die to layer her with. I cut a banner and added a button punched with a Hobbycraft punch. The sentiment is from Netty's cards and I added some Sweet Lilac paper flowers which were a prize from a recent challenge win:
