Catching Butterflies

Hello to all my crafty friends, hope you are still enjoying this lovely weather.
I have managed to fit in some time for crafting this week-some things have worked and some things haven't but I guess we all get days like that don't we?
My card today was one that thankfully went together quite nicely-the image is  Saturated Canary and is just so cute. I coloured her with my Promarkers and layered her onto some Wild Rose Studio Butterfly Garden papers from a magazine, I added a piece of pink netting around the card in keeping with the butterfly net and punched the edge of one layer with my Martha Stewart edging punch. I added a die cut flourish and die cut a shape for the sentiment to sit on. I finished it all off with a paper flower and gem and some little punched and glittered butterflies (punch from Tiger shop-I just love the craft bits and bobs in there!) and here she is, hope you like her:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

Tilda with flowers pink

Hello all, I hope this post finds you all well.
A very busy weekend for me so not much time for crafting and blogging but filled with fun things so can't complain- and a lovely day at the seaside today too.
My card today uses a lovely Tilda image which I have coloured with my Promarkers. I bought the new papermania capsule paper pack in Wild Rose last week too so have used two of the sheets which are so pretty. The corners were a happy accident after embossing a square to use on the card in a different way, but I think it worked out in the end! I also used some papermania flowers which I coloured in the same shade as my image -even though they don't look quite the same in the photo for some reason!
I finished off by punching several hearts from the embossed square to make a thick chipboard type embellishment and punched a little butterfly for the other corner and added several small gems-hope you like her!

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

I love promarkers challenge #229 - monochrome
Crafty hazelnut challenge - use patterned paper
Pennys paper crafty challenge - anything goes
Crafting from the heart challenge - anything goes
Sassy studio challenge #239- it's all the same (monochrome)
Crafty catz challenge #241- anything goes

Dream Valley challenge #87- favourite colour combo (i love pink and white!)

Well I think its time for a well earned cup of coffee now so wishing you all a lovely week, thank you so much for stopping by today. Until next time.

Saturated Canary

A very good evening to everyone-a mid-week post, it must be the summer holidays lol!
As it's the first week of the holidays I have been easing myself in gently to all the jobs I must get done and have treated myself to a couple of afternoons playing in my shed.
This is one of the cards I have made with a cute little image from Saturated Canary. I really love these images but find they are not so easy to colour as they are quite detailed. I spent quite a lot of time with this one and was sort of pleased with how she turned out in the end.
I coloured her with my promarkers and die cut her with my x cut die. I layered her with some papers from the Wild Rose Studio Milton pack and punched some butterflies to match the paper and finished off with some paper flowers and pearls. Hope you like her:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

My Mums Craft Shop challenge #19- summer or bright colours

Mermaid Tilda

A very good evening to all my lovely followers and I hope you have all had a lovely weekend so far.
Just lately I seem to be having some trouble in getting out in my craft shed to make some cards-everytime I put aside some time for crafting one or other of the family steps in and needs me for something and bang goes my time!! Even when they grow up they still need you don't they??
Anyway, onto my card today and this little one seems to have slipped through the net-I made it a while ago and simply forgot to blog it so here she is today.
I used a sweet Tilda mermaid image and coloured her with my Promarkers. I layered her with some stripey paper from my First Edition paper pack and some green paper which I have had in my stash forever, and used some die cut shapes which I thought looked a bit like seaweed. I added some little pearls to finish and here she is:

Red, White and Blue

A good afternoon to all my crafty friends, I hope you are all well.
I found this little image in my folder recently that I coloured in ages ago and decided I would like to use her on a card.
She was coloured in with my Promarkers and I used some freebie red spotty paper and some blue stripey paper from a pack I bought ages ago from the Glitter Pot. I die cut her with my x cut dies and added a paper flower with a little heart brad for the centre. A while back I was bought some shaped cards with a fancy edge which I haven't used because they are quite small but I thought the edging was very pretty so have cut that off and used it as a backing and think it is quite effective so will do that again in the future!
I added some punched stars and pearls to finish it all off and here she is:

I would like to enter her into the following challenges:

I Love Promarkers challenge # 226- anything goes
The Stamping Boutique challenge - stars and stripes
Crafty Catz challenge #238 - stars or stripes or both

Alice's Frozen Birthday card

Evening all, hope this post finds you all well and enjoying this lovely week so far.
In my last post I mentioned I was working on a birthday card for my niece who just loves Frozen (who doesn't??) and I finally managed to get it finished despite chasing round the country looking at cars for my son who's just passed his test!!
I found a lovely image on the internet of Elsa and cut her out with my shape cutter, adding some glitter to her dress. I decided that I wanted to make a shaped card and chose this one as it has always worked well in the past and gives lots of areas to stick different elements. I found a piece of snowflake patterned paper which exactly matched her dress but only had one piece so knew I had to be careful. I did make one mistake when cutting so had to slightly change the design but I'm not telling how it should have been!!! I cut some glittery swirls with my cuttlebug and die because it reminded me of how Elsa swirls up all the snow in the film and added lots of tiny snowflakes and pearls. Inside there is a little picture of Olaf as a surprise when she opens her card-I tried to get a picture of him too but it proved to be too difficult to keep the card at the right angle to get a good photograph. So here she is:

I am looking forward to some lovely craft time on Sunday so hopefully I will be back Sunday night to share what I make.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend and until next time.
Aloha
