Hello to all my friends and followers today and a special 'Hello and welcome' to my new follower Jacee-thank you for your lovely comment on my blog, I'm so pleased you joined me!
Why do these weekends go so quickly? I definitely think we need a three day weekend, there's just too much to fit into only two!
We had a lovely meal and film night with my son and his girlfriend yesterday and a fab walk by the sea today with daughter, boyfriend and puppy. I also had a lovely few hours to myself yesterday and spent it pottering around in my room, making a couple of cards and having a general tidy up-I am such a messy crafter and now my stash is all in the house I really need to make more of an effort to tidy up after myself!
I realised while looking through some of my files that this card has totally slipped through the net-I made her a while ago and I can remember not being sure if I liked this one-(I think it was the colours, which aren't my usual style) and that's how she missed being added.
I used a Saturated Canary image - reading is another of my loves and it reminded me of myself when I was young, nothing came between me and my books!!
She's coloured with Promarkers and cut with a scalloped circle die and has a faux nestie behind. I wanted to keep this one quite simple so that the image is the main attention so didn't add very much else apart from a few pearls, a little glitter and some little punched butterflies. I stamped the sentiment straight onto the backing paper-can't think I've tried that before but I quite liked how it came out. The paper is from a magazine freebie pad:
I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Catz -dies and punches
Southern Girls - girly
Passion for Promarkers-alphabet (p for pearls, paper, promarkers and punch)
