Hello today to all my friends and followers-hope you are all well.
I can't believe it's Thursday already, these Bank Holiday weeks just throw me-I can't seem to keep up with myself at all this week!!
My card today is made with a new image I bought from Lacy Sunshine, I just love this image and think she will be used quite a lot.
I used papers from Lili of the Valley and coloured her in with Promarkers, adding some glossy accents to the heart on her hat. I die cut a corner using the new freebie die that came with the Docrafts magazine this month and also added a leafy flourish die cut. I layered a paper flower and added a punched butterfly, finishing off with some pearls.
I had another go at distressing the edges of the paper but still think this needs some more practice as I still can't get it so I'm happy with it. I do think I'm quite a 'straight edge' kind of girl!!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Simply Papercraft #3-lots of layers
Crafty Time # 1-new (image, die)
Come and Get It -female
Simply Create Too #84-pretty woman
Crafty Calendar -things with wings
Crafting from the Heart #58-anything goes
One Sweet Challenge -may things with wings
The Butterfly Challenge #30-J for jagged edges
I love Promarkers # 268-anything goes
Well thank you all so much for stopping by today, I'm going to try and pop round to visit everyone in a minute. Take care and enjoy the rest of your week.
Until next time.
Aloha

A fabulous card Andrée. I love the papers and neutral colour tones. Your distressed edges look great to me. You could try inking the edges once you've distressed them for a different look xx
ReplyDeleteOh my Andree what a beautiful creation that is one gorgeous image and such pretty papers I love it

I can see why you have fallen in love with this image. I love her too. Your colouring is fab and I like your decorations. I used to have trouble with distressed edges until my daughter explained you have to be really brutal with that little gadget!! Thankyou for fluttering by my # 30. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteI think your distressed edges worked very well. It is not something I do very often, but it works especially well with this sort of colour theme. A very cute image, and some lovely backing papers and die cuts to go with it. Kate x
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Andree. You have coloured the sweet image so beautifully to match the pretty papers. I love the layout and fabulous detailing too.
