Science teacher leaving card

Evening all, well the rain is still going strong here and even managed to cancel most of our school sports day today-such a shame!!
My second leaving card is for the science teacher who also teaches astronomy-I found this brilliant image and matched it with some space themed images too. My colleagues at work were really pleased so I needn't have worried thank goodness!!
All I have to do now is make some leaving cards for me to use!!

commissioned card

Afternoon all, hope your weekend has been fab. Well I am really on the countdown now to the summer holidays (so sad, I am almost counting the minutes!!!).
We have lots of staff leaving us this year and I had a commission from work on Friday-some of the lovely ladies that I work with asked me if I could make a couple of cards for them, one for the school nurse and one for the physics teacher. It has been very hard to do and I have spent the weekend panicking in case they don't like what I have come up with. This is the first one finished-for the very lovely school nurse!

I managed to find a good image on the internet and made myself some backing papers from some simple crosses and backed that with some freebie spotty papers from my Quick Cards magazine-now just got to hope they like it!!
Am nearly finished the other card so will hopefully post that tomorrow-am so looking forward to some more craft time soon!

Birthday Girl

Evening everyone, hope you are all having a lovely week-half way through the week already, I can't believe it!!
It was such a gorgeous sunny evening and all of my lovely lot were out so I decided to ignore the chores and go sit in my shed for a bit. This little Wee Stamp image caught my eye as well as the freebie papers which came with my last magazine issue. I coloured the image with promarkers and used some little pearls and flowers from my stash

DIY Alf

Evening everyone, wow, don't the weekends go by SO quickly??? Hope you managed to dodge the rain today and find some sunshine. We had a lovely walk round Rochester and found a gorgeous place to sit and have coffee and cake ovelooking a beautiful garden and the cathederal-heavenly!!
I am on countdown now-just three short weeks till the lovely summer holidays, I can't wait!!
My card today was made for my lovely Dad whose birthday is next Sunday and he is a bit of a DIY fanatic. This lovely Alf digi stamp is from Digistamp Boutique and is just perfect, am hoping he will like it. I coloured him with my promarkers and found an image of some wood grain on the internet and used some spotty paper from my Wellington pack and sneaked a little bit of wallpaper from my local DIY store (I won't tell if you won't!!!!!)

Faye on Toadstool

Evening all, hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today.
We braved the seaside on Saturday but nearly got blown away walking by the sea-shouldn't complain as it did at least stay dry and sunny!!
I am feeling a bit worried today as I think I have agreed to do an Autumn fair at the school I work for-agreed to it without thinking and now realise just how much work will be involved-(any tips would be hugely appreciated).
My card today was a bit of an experiment really, I was aiming for a card for my Dad with a little workman digi stamp so popped down to my local DIY store for some offcuts of wallpaper. When I got it all  home though it didn't really go with the picture -but it matched the colours I had used to practice my colouring in on my new digistamp from Pink Gem Designs. An hour later this is the result and I am now planning to use it as a Congratulations for my neice's A level results.
I think I am going to also enter it into the Allsorts challenge number 160-'any die will do'and paperplaychallenges week 25-use a die.

Jodie on Bike

Evening all, well I've found myself with a couple of hours to myself so thought I'd have a play with one of my new Pink Gem Designs digi stamps.
It's my neices birthday soon (she's 3!) and I thought that Jodie on Bike would be perfect for her-her mum said her favourite colours are pink and purple so I set about making this card. Well, over an hour later the card is done but somehow I'm not sure about it-there's just something not right and I can't put my finger on what it is at all. I have decided to walk away as maybe if I go back to it with fresh eyes I will find out how to put it right.
(Any ideas or suggestions welcome!!)
Have made myself a cup of coffee and put Frasier on TV (I love Frasier!!) so that's me done for the day.

Little Peggy in Peach

Hello all, hope you are having a good start to the week despite the constant rain!!! Just when will it end?? Well it was back to work today -just where did that half term go? Once again I had made a huge list of things I wanted to get done and by the end of the week I had ticked nothing off-well, it was a very short holiday as everyone was off till Wednesday (absolutely nothing to do with me spending too much time crafting!!)
My card today is another Sylvia Zet image-(I just love these!) and she's called Little Peggy-I decided to colour her in a peach colour with my promarkers and used a Martha Stewart edging punch and some Wild Rose Studio papers I am going to enter her into challenge no# 120 -For a Little Girl over at I Love Promarkers and also week 158 -ice cream colours over at Allsorts.

Passion for Promarkers challenge card

Wow, two posts in one day!!
I happened to be blog hopping this morning over my coffee and stumbled upon the Passion for Promarkers blog. As I LOVE my promarkers I thought I might have a go at this one.
All the family were off doing their own thing so I went and locked myself in my shed for a bit and came up with this card which I am going to enter into their challenge week 152-theme of red white and blue.

Father's Day card

Morning all, hope everyone is having a lovely weekend. We even managed a cheeky BBQ yesterday evening-finally got a gas bbq at the end of last summer and grab every opportunity (much to the kids disgust!!) to eat outside-well, in this country you have to make the most of every bit of sunshine don't you??
My card today I made for my Dad's Father's Day card, but having made it I'm really not so sure about it-have kept it on the side for a couple of days and keep looking at it and wondering if it is 'special' enough for him.....I will probably end up out in my shed making him another later on today!!!

Pink Gem challenge

Morning all, and wow, I am so excited this morning. I entered my card Faye with Flowers into the Pink Gem challenge and have just found out my number was selected as the winner!!! A big Thank You to Pink Gem Designs-such a fabulous website and blog-I am becoming a bit addicted to digistamps lately and I love spending time looking at all the wonderful images and beautiful card galleries.

Pink Gem Designs Faye with Flowers

Morning all, the last day of the school holidays and I am so sad it went by so quickly. Still, only 6 weeks to go until the big summer holidays and boy am I looking forward to that!
My card today is using a digi stamp by Pink Gem Designs called Faye with Flowers and I am going to enter her in their photo inspiration challenge today!! I have coloured her with my promarkers and used some little butterflies and gems to embellish.

Snoozing Stan

Hello all, well the long bank holiday has finished -hope you all had a brilliant time. I still have the rest of the school holidays to enjoy so hopefully lots of craft time!!
I have become a bit addicted to Digi Stamp Boutique-just love their images and the digi stamps are so easy, I never though I would take to them as I do love my stamping!! Found this lovely Snoozing Stan image and just had to have him-he will also come in handy for the Fathers Day card I want to make too. I have coloured him with my promarkers and used up some papers from my stash.
I have never entered a challenge before but am going to try and enter him into the Digi Stamp Boutique June challenge and also the Male themed challenge # 21 over at Little Claire Designs (http://littleclairesdesigns.blogspot.co.uk/)
I hope it is OK for me to enter him into two separate challenges???
