Friends birthday

Well we seemed to have a bit of a break in the rain today at least for a couple of hours-back to rain and high winds here again now though!
It was a friends birthday at work today and although it was her 50th I decided against putting the number on her birthday card as I really don't like that myself. I decided on a lovely elegant 20's style lady from Oyster stamps which I have used so many times but I never tire of using her on my cards. I coloured her with my Promarkers and used some stamped flowers and pearl gems-hope you like it!

Rainy Sunday

Well what an awful day today has been, rain and bad winds which have blown down one of our fence panels-still I guess just losing one was pretty good!
I popped up to my local craft shop in the hope that the new Creativity! magazine might be out so I could curl up with it and a nice cup of coffee but had no luck-lady said I would have to wait till Wednesday!!
Didn't fancy sitting in my craft shed in all the rain so emptied as much as I could into a huge holdall and decided to craft at the dining room table in the warm!!
I recently downloaded the Wee Hope digistamp from Sylvia Zet and bought a new promarker in a lovely shade of peach so wanted to use that-hope you like it!
Fingers crossed for better weather tomorrow!

End of Holidays!

Well I can't believe its the end of the two week Easter holidays-I had promised myself that I would spend lots of time in my craft shed but the weeks have just flown and I haven't spent anywhere near the time out there that I would have liked.
I did manage to make a birthday card for my brother-inspired a little bit by my love of all things Hawaiian and while I was in the Aloha mood I made a Hawaii themed girlie card which I might send to my sister in law - they have both been to Hawaii so hopefully they will appreciate them.
Well it's back to work on Monday so my craft time will now be in short supply till the half term!!

I hope to spend some time on my blog but will need to sit with my son as some of the things  I want to do are a bit beyond me-never to old to learn though!!

Cards for Karas birthday

Hello
I thought I would post the pictures of my daughters birthday cards -(one from me and one from my son).
Every year my daughter Kara tells me what she would like for her card-usually quite straightforward, ranging from Disney characters to Star Wars and Yoda!! This year however having been to Vegas she asked for a card with this on-huh, not so easy!!
I made this for her and she was very pleased with it. I also made the shopping card from my son to her as her big passion is shopping!!
Will hopefully post some more tomorrow but lots to do as family are all down on Friday for Easter and have loads to do.

Another card!

Before I managed to put away all of my craft bits and pieces I came up with this card-now can't make up my mind which one I want to give to my neice!!
I do love the freebies from my magazine!!!
My craft bits really ARE going away now (well at least till tomorrow!)
Bye for now!

School holidays!

Well, today is the first day of the two week Easter school holidays and already the sun is shining-I really hope it carries on!!
I was supposed to be doing some housework but I caught sight of the paper pack which came with my latest issue of Quick Cards and somehow that was more appealing than the hoovering!!
I have had a play with the papers and made a card which I have sent in to Quick Cards today-I think I will send it to my neice for her birthday next month-the papers are a bit different to the colours I would normally use but I love them all the same and its good to try different things.
Well hopefully I will get lots of time over the next two weeks to do some cardmaking-here's to a good Easter break!!
